thursday, 7th of august - 122 km (8 by ferry) 

got pretty far today. but it's not due to my enormous strength, but due to the feeling that the farther i get every day, the sooner it's over, the fewer people i have to ask, .... 

back to the danish! back on the road this morning in the drizzling rain i could recall all my danish thoughts. 

as i crossed danmark i didn't talk to many danish people, three to be precise, but there was a significant compliance. each of them said at least once 'wir dänen möchten das nicht.' as an explanation of a specific situation. it was totally clear, that that would do as justification. no further argument needed. i'm steamrolled by this self confidence. 

on the other hand - sometimes other things than pure will might count too, my danish! 

all of that i figured out before crossing the elbe - really wide and majestic there. after i crossed (nice talk with other bikers), the rain stopped eventually. 

as my ass isn't hurting any more (since i left krischi), riding isn't such a challenge, specially when i can get plenty of food. so i moved along quite well. 

shortly before crossing the weser (wich was equally impressive) it started to rain again, heavy weather! but it didn't last long, and when i looked for a place to stay, i was almost dry again. 

private homes didn't work that well, but u always can rely on a protestant church!
